This clutch features a geometric design inspired by beautiful Guatemalan huipiles (blouses worn by indigenous Guatemalan women). It has been hand-embroidered with silky threads on both sides of the bag. Artisans in the Hambre Cero (Zero Hunger) Project hand-embroider these designs on a handwoven fabric produced by a different Zero Hunger community.

Zero Hunger collection designs by La Casa help support women in the most remote areas of rural Guatemala where poverty and hunger affect their families.  With the production and purchase of these items, women earn income that helps them to mitigate hunger.

La Casa Guatemala's collections are handmade and sustainably sourced in Guatemala, where they have a network of local Mayan artisans and designers who are highly experienced in crafting beautiful jewelry and accessories. They support up to 1000 artisans and their families to build a better life and share their culture.

Details: 100" cotton exterior; lined with cotton with a brass YKK zipper closure with a color matching handmade lozenge pull. Hand spot clean or wash with mild soap and dry flat. Due to the handcrafted characteristics there may be minor variations in size and color shading.

Dimensions: 6" high x 10" wide.

Fairly traded and handmade in Guatemala.
