Kenyan Olivewood Heart Keychain
Kenyan artisans salvage small scraps of wild olive wood from larger projects by hand carving the discards into sweet little plump hearts. The addition of metal hardware takes a beautiful piece of wood and transforms it into a useful piece of pocket art you can carry anywhere.
Swahili African Modern is a fair trade import, design and distribution company based in Eugene, Oregon. Founder Leslie Mittelberg lived in Kenya and fell in love with African artistry. Swahili now has a large network that includes individual markers, export agents, and micro-enterprises in nations all over Africa.
