Intricately handmade porcelain hearts are featured in these sweet earrings hung on sterling silver wires. Handcrafted by Maasai artisans for The Leakey Collection, each pair of these earrings is glazed to showcase the porcelain, with Zulugrass and sterling silver beads added to match.

Swahili African Modern is a fair trade import, design and distribution company based in Eugene, Oregon. Founder Leslie Mittelberg lived in Kenya and fell in love with African artistry. Upon returning to the US in 1995, she founded her company and named it in honor of the people of East Africa whose artistry inspired her. Swahili now has a large network that includes individual markers, export agents, and micro-enterprises in nations all over Africa.
