Kenyan Olivewood Pinch + Prep Bowl

These simple hand carved wooden prep bowls showcase the beautiful grain of wild olive wood. Kenyan carvers sand each bowl's surface to buttery smoothness. With proper care, over time the wood seasons to a darker tone, remaining beautifully useful for years.

Swahili African Modern is a fair trade import, design and distribution company based in Eugene, Oregon. Founder Leslie Mittelberg lived in Kenya and fell in love with African artistry. Upon returning to the US in 1995, she founded her company and named it in honor of the people of East Africa whose artistry inspired her. Swahili now has a large network that includes individual markers, export agents, and micro-enterprises in nations all over Africa.

Care: hand wash in warm water, dry and rub lightly with a coat of olive or food safe mineral oil.
