Kenyan Olivewood Teardrop Spice Spoon
Kenyan artisans carve these cute little curved spice spoons from scraps of wild olive wood. By using as much of harvested trees as possible, Kenyan artisans commit to conserving this slow-growing tree for future generations.
Swahili African Modern is a fair trade import, design and distribution company based in Eugene, Oregon. Founder Leslie Mittelberg lived in Kenya and fell in love with African artistry. Upon returning to the US in 1995, she founded her company and named it in honor of the people of East Africa whose artistry inspired her. Swahili now has a large network that includes individual markers, export agents, and micro-enterprises in nations all over Africa.

Care: hand wash in warm water, dry and rub lightly with a coat of olive or food safe mineral oil.
